I designed this print for Love For Sale, an upcoming group exhibition of Talking Heads-influenced Valentines curated by Will Bryant, Kate Bingaman-Burt, and Frank Chimero. The show opens at Land Gallery in Portland on February 13, and I’m super stoked to snag one of these koozies while I’m there.
My piece was inspired by one of my favorite Talking Heads tunes, Moon Rocks, which is full of psychedelic and futuristic imagery that I had a blast bringing to life.

Lattes and Llamas

It was recently suggested to me that I begin knitting again. I say “again,” because there was a time a few years back when I knitted approximately 3 scarves over the course of a month. I have trouble relaxing, so working on something while watching TV helps me to multitask and unwind at once.

I only know how to do one stitch, but I’m interested in “mastering” knitting via the Internet’s vast how-to videos and websites. Coincidentally, or serendipitously, I realized that a couple of ladies I went to high school with just began publishing a blog about knitting. They’re quite talented and delightfully nerdy, which is right up my alley. If you have any interest in learning about knitting, purchasing awesome knitted goods or reading clever yarn-based blogs, check out the link!

One of the ABC series issued by Ian Allan about London tube trains issued in the 1950, that each had a cover, in scraperboard, by A N Wolstenholme who was known for his transport illustrations.
This cover has a Bakerloo line 1938-tube stock heading to Elephant & Castle.

Listen. I’m going to tell you a nice Christmas carol. There once was a good man with 8 women vexing him. He fought and fought, but they always won.
